Commissioning Esterification Plant Malaysia

We are pleased to announce that oilRoq has officially started the commissioning of a state-of-the-art multi-purpose esterification plant in Malaysia, developed for one of the world's leading companies in the vegetable oils and fats industry.

This innovative facility performs the esterification of a variety of recipes specifically tailored for the cosmetics industry. It represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing high-quality solutions that meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Successful tests in our container test center

We are pleased to announce that our company has recently successfully carried out chemical hydrogenation tests in our container test center in Bitterfeld (Germany) for one of our customers.

We tested using the latest technology and under strict safety precautions to ensure that our containers meet the highest standards.

FITA 2024

oilRoq GmbH has participated in FITA 2024, one of the most important events in Africa, in Tunis on the 11th & 12th of June, 2024. The FITA is dedicated to investment and trade, especially in the food processing sector, with a strong focus on oil and fats.

We presented our technologies developed in the field of edible oil and fat modification. Our Managing director Mr Eberhard Roquette has also given a presentation on the topic of “Cultivation and processing of oilseeds in Africa”

oilRoq GmbH signs the Antwerp Declaration for an Industrial Deal

oilRoq GmbH’s Managing Director Mr. Eberhard Roquette, and other 1000+              industry leaders from companies and organisations across various energy-intensive sectors, which represent €550+ billion in value added and 7.8+ million workers, have signed the Antwerp Declaration with the aim of urging decision-makers in the upcoming European legislative cycle to prioritise a European industrial deal.

The declaration provides 10 concrete calls for a European Industrial Deal, based on 10 concrete actions, to be at the core of the next EU Strategic Agenda for 2024 – 2029, while complementing the EU Green Deal. Europe’s transition to net zero consumption should be both equitable and economically viable, balancing the imperative to maintain a strong and competitive industrial base with our goal to meet EU Green Deal’s objectives.

Inauguration of the world’s first pilot plant for the cost-efficient production of green methanol/ Leuna

In November, 2023, the world’s first pilot plant for the cost-efficient production of green methanol was inaugurated in the Leuna Chemical Park in the event “Leuna 100”.

This automated production plant is erected in a 30ft container to produce methanol from carbon monoxide and hydrogen.

Multipurpose Esterification Project / Malaysia

The steel structure has been finished for the multipurpose esterification plant in Malaysia in August, 2023. The piping erection is in progress based on the 3D model and isometrics drawings provided by oilRoq. The commissioning is expected to take place in 2nd quarter of 2024.

This plant does the esterification of different recipes for the cosmetics industry

Synthesis gas project/ Leuna

In 4th quarter of 2023, we have signed the contract of production of Synthesis gas as a container plant. This gas will be produced from a CO2 waste and will be used as a raw material for the Pilot plant for methanol production

Tunisia - New contracts signed for hydrogenation and interesterification revamping project

oilRoq GmbH is glad to announce the signature of the 2 contracts with one of the largest oil and fats processing companies in Tunisia and Africa, part of a giant agro-industrial holding based in Tunisia.

These are revamping projects for hydrogenation and interesterification to modernizing and increasing the capacity and will be entirely designed and manufactured by oilRoq with and according to European products and guidelines.

Interesterification plant:

First project was designed and built by oilRoq in 2011, We supervised the move to new location in 2014 and now the upgrading will follow this year.

Hydrogenation:

First upgrading of the hydrogenation was planned and implemented by oilRoq in 2005, now further modernisation and upgrade will take place.

This success is the continuation of a solid business relationship and friendship built up over the years and lasted for many years.

New Office in Tunisia

After 11 successful years in plant engineering, oilRoq GmbH is expanding. From now on, we have another location in Tunis (Tunisia).

There are sales representatives, project managers, process engineers and designers who support us actively in the worldwide sales, execution of our projects and on-site support for our customers in Africa.

Multipurpose Esterification Project / Malaysia

Steel construction for the multipurpose esterification plant in Malaysia started in February 2023.
Commissioning of the plant is planned for the 3rd quarter of 2023.
The plant is operated in batch mode and has a batch volume of 15 tonnes.
The challenge of this plant is to esterify different recipes for the cosmetics industry in only one plant.

Pilot Plant: Methanol production project / Leuna

In December 2022, the procurement for our second container plant has started. The plant will be located in the Leuna Chemical Park and will produce methanol from carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
Commissioning of the plant is planned for the 3rd quarter of 2023.

Project MCT / Malaysia

In October 2022, the distillation plant for MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) was successfully commissioned in Malaysia.
The distillation plant serves to expand the capacity of an esterification plant for MCT built by oilRoq in 2009. The plant is operated in batch mode and has a batch volume of 15 tons.

Project ASKAT

In September 2022 we put our demonstration plant into operation for the federally funded project ASKAT - catalytically (KAT) produced formic acid (AS).

This represents the demonstration of a cost-effective, climate-neutral process for the production of the versatile platform chemical "formic acid" (AA) based on bio-based carbon.

Cross-industry business trip by German and Moroccan entrepreneurs in Dakar, Senegal

In November 2021, oilRoq GmbH and its sales representatives for West Africa took part in an economic symposium for Germany, Morocco and Senegal (the most growing markets in Africa).

The capital Dakar is an important regional industrial location and therefore our goal is to explore business opportunities in Senegal, to familiarize ourselves with the economic and social environment and to promote relationships in our business areas.

oilRoq received the order for design and erection of a Pilot Plant for Diesel fuel finishing. Design and erection of the Pilot Plant could be finalized in shortest possible time. The test run could be completed successfully in the meantime.
